The orchid on the left is called a Dendrobium parishii and unusual in two ways. It grows a tall stalk with leaves and then one by one the leaves turn yellow and fall off. (Yes, I thought I had killed it.) The a flower appears where each leaf was and the fragrance is so sweet and lovely only nature could make it. To me it is the fragrance of Joy.
The lovely Phalaenopsis on the right is called sweet Jenny and ironically has no fragrance. I call it a Barbie orchid because the flowers are less than an inch while the the others are 3″ or more.
Beautiful 🙂
