Periwinkle

The pretty little Periwinkle, so unassuming but unique in color. I am encouraging them to grow around the stones of my front walk. I find I smile whenever I spy their small low-growing flowers.  I’ve also learned that honeybees prefer blue flowers. Another good reason to cultivate them. The recent loss of honeybees concerns me so I do my part by planting what they like and buying local honey.
